Client portal for agencies: eight products compared on price, seats and fit

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerNo single best client portal for agencies. ManyRequests suits request-based and subscription work from $59 a month; Wayfront, Queue, SuiteDash or Assembly fit other team sizes and sales models better.

The best client portal for agencies depends on how you sell

A client portal for agencies is software that gives each client one branded login for requests, files, messages and invoices, and the best one depends on how the agency sells its work. Agencies that sell subscriptions, hour bundles or credits are well served by ManyRequests, Wayfront or Queue. Agencies that mostly want a secure place for documents, onboarding and invoices can pay less with SuiteDash or Kitchen.co. Firms that want to build their own client apps should look at Assembly.

All prices below were read on each vendor's own pricing page on 3 October 2026 and can change. This site has not used these products hands-on; the comparison is based on published plans and documentation.

What a five-person agency pays on each

Seat rules change the ranking more than the headline price does. Using the monthly figures above for a team of five:

  • SuiteDash: $19 to $99 a month depending on plan, because staff are unlimited.
  • Queue Growth: $49 plus three extra seats at $19, so $106 a month.
  • Wayfront Base: $129 a month, because five seats are included.
  • ManyRequests Core: $59 plus four extra seats at $20, so $139 a month. On Pro it is $99 plus four seats at $30, so $219 a month.
  • Kitchen.co: five internal users at $29, so $145 a month.

Clients do not count as seats on ManyRequests, and its plans include unlimited clients. For a fuller method, see how to work out the total cost of a client portal before you commit.

Where ManyRequests fits and where it does not

ManyRequests fits an agency whose clients submit a steady stream of requests against a plan: design subscriptions, video editing, Webflow retainers, content packages. Its pricing page lists request forms, kanban, list and queue views, subscriptions and retainers, hourly and credit billing with rollover, and proofing on both paid plans. The vendor's help center says it charges no processing fee on top of Stripe's.

It fits less well in three cases. A solo operator with one or two clients can start on the free plans from Assembly or Kitchen.co; Queue is free only until the first client is added. A team of five or more that does not need credit billing pays less on SuiteDash or Queue. An agency that wants its own bespoke client apps, or HIPAA terms, is closer to Assembly, which lists a BAA on its Advanced plan. The ManyRequests pricing breakdown covers the Core and Pro differences in detail.

Which client portal to pick by agency type

  • Subscription or credit-based creative agency: ManyRequests Core, moving to Pro when you need Slack or webhooks.
  • SEO, link-building or content agency selling fixed packages: Wayfront, which describes itself as built for productized digital marketing agencies. See ManyRequests compared with SPP.
  • New agency with no paying client yet: Queue, which stays free until you add the first client.
  • Larger team on a tight budget: SuiteDash, since the price does not change with staff numbers.
  • Consultancy or firm that wants custom client apps: Assembly. See ManyRequests compared with Copilot.
  • Regulated or enterprise onboarding: Moxo, if the $5,000 a year floor is acceptable.
