Anchor the comment to the correct cut
ManyRequests promotes timestamped video feedback. A timestamp is useful only in relation to a particular cut: trimming the introduction can shift everything afterward. Identify the version in the review invitation and keep earlier cuts available according to your retention policy. Do not assume that a comment at thirty seconds on an old cut points to the same scene in the new one. This is a workflow check, not a product benchmark.
Describe the change rather than the frustration
An illustrative useful note is: “In V2 at 00:30, replace the closing caption with the approved event date.” That gives the editor a location and an intended outcome. “Wrong text again” does neither. If a change depends on a missing script, licensed asset or brand approval, record that dependency. Starting the edit before the replacement material is approved can create another avoidable review cycle.
Collect a coherent edit pass
Separate technical defects, factual corrections and preference changes. Ask the designated client reviewer to resolve conflicts before the producer begins. This does not mean suppressing feedback; it means avoiding two mutually exclusive instructions in the same pass. For a time-sensitive release, agree which corrections are essential and which can wait. Do not silently reduce the delivered scope merely because the deadline is close or the feedback arrived late.
Verify the delivered export
Review the final export, not only the editing project or a preview still. Check the affected timestamps, captions, aspect ratio and agreed delivery format. Record which version the client accepted so a later distribution task uses the right file. If a new edit changes timing, reference the new cut in subsequent feedback. The portal organizes the exchange, while the agency remains responsible for checking that the actual deliverable matches the approved changes.
