What a marketing agency needs its client portal to do
A client portal for a marketing agency has three jobs: collect requests and approvals in one place, show each client how much of their retainer is used, and put results in front of them without another email. ManyRequests covers the first two with its own features. The third it handles only by embedding a reporting tool, which is the main thing to weigh before choosing it.
The facts below come from ManyRequests pricing, product and help pages read on 3 October 2026. This site has not tested the product hands-on.

| Job | What the documentation describes | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Briefs for campaigns and content | Request forms per service, with conditional rules, sub-tasks and automatic assignment to a team member | Core and Pro |
| Creative approvals | Clients click on a PNG, JPG, GIF or PDF to pin a comment, and leave timestamped comments on MP4 and MOV video. They mark the request complete when satisfied and can leave a review | Core and Pro |
| Retainers sold as hours | A recurring time-based service with a set number of hours. Tracked time is deducted and clients see usage under Reports, Timesheets | Core and Pro |
| Retainers sold as deliverables | A recurring credit-based service. The agency sets how many credits each request uses, and unused credits can roll over indefinitely or for a set number of months | Core and Pro |
| Agency-side reporting | Revenue from Stripe and manual payments, hours logged against hours purchased, turnaround time, client satisfaction | Core and Pro |
| Capacity planning across accounts | Workload management per assignee | Pro only |
If you are deciding between hour bundles and deliverable credits, the page on credits versus hours walks through the trade-off.
Which plan fits, and what a four-person agency pays
Most marketing agencies will want Pro. Core includes the portal, billing and proofing, but its pricing page lists no Slack integration, no webhooks, no customized email notifications and no option to remove the vendor badge. Those matter once account managers live in Slack and clients expect your brand only.
| Plan and billing | Base | Three extra seats | Monthly total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core, paid monthly | $59 | 3 x $20 | $119 |
| Core, paid annually | $39 | 3 x $15 | $84 |
| Pro, paid monthly | $99 | 3 x $30 | $189 |
| Pro, paid annually | $79 | 3 x $25 | $154 |
Clients are not seats and both plans allow unlimited clients, so the bill does not grow as you add accounts. The pricing page's comparison table shows 1TB of storage on Core and 2TB on Pro, while the FAQ on the same page says 500GB and 1TB, so ask support which applies. Extra storage is $25 a month per 500GB. ManyRequests says it adds no processing fee to Stripe's own charges.
A worked retainer: create a recurring time-based service with 20 hours a month at your own price. As the team tracks time on requests, the balance drops, and the client sees it in their timesheet report. The billing page says new requests can be limited when no hours are left, and the pricing page lists top-ups so the client can buy more without a new contract. For the wider choice of model, see retainer versus project billing.
The limitation that matters: no built-in campaign reporting
ManyRequests reports on the agency, not on the client's marketing. Its reporting page covers revenue, time, capacity and client health. It does not describe connectors to Google Ads, Search Console, Meta or analytics platforms. The integrations directory lists AgencyAnalytics and Looker Studio as portal integrations, which the vendor defines as tools you embed inside the portal. So the client can open a dashboard without leaving your portal, but the dashboard is built and paid for elsewhere.
The proofing documentation also lists image, PDF and video files only. Approving a live landing page or an ad preview link is not covered; website proofing is marked as coming soon on the pricing page.
When AgencyAnalytics or Wayfront is the better pick
If reporting is the main reason you want a portal, start with AgencyAnalytics instead. Its pricing page shows $20 per client a month billed annually, with unlimited staff accounts, automated reports, 85+ marketing integrations and a white-labeled client portal. It is not a request or billing system, so many agencies would run it alongside a delivery portal.
If you are an SEO or link-building agency selling fixed packages, Wayfront is the closer fit. Its Base plan is $129 a month with five seats and lists SEO reporting with client dashboards for rankings and backlinks. The comparison of ManyRequests and SPP covers that choice, and the wider list of agency client portals covers the rest.
